Saracen Alfalfa Chaff is a 100% natural high fibre, straw free chaff for horses and

ponies in light to hard work. It is made from British grown, non-GM alfalfa with a light coating of molasses and rapeseed oil. It is dust-extracted and high temperature dried making Saracen Alfalfa Chaff a suitable product for horses and ponies with respiratory

problems. Saracen Alfalfa Chaff contains no preservatives, colourings, or additives.

Alfalfa provides good quality nutrients, is low in sugar and starch and provides natural

antioxidants. Alfalfa is also rich in calcium which supports bone development and hoof

quality and provides a natural acid buffer. Quality proteins in alfalfa provide support for

topline and condition. Feeding chaff increases chewing time which supports digestive health.

Saracen Alfalfa Chaff is a straight feed and should be fed with a broad-spectrum vitamin and mineral supplement or a Saracen compound feed to provide a fully balanced diet. Saracen Alfalfa Chaff can be fed dry or dampened with water.
